An Odd Proposal, Indeed!

Well, things definitely took a turn for the unexpected. It appears that Darcy had... well... confessed to Elizabeth the other night. From what I hear, he just barged in and asked for her hand in marriage. If you can't tell, Diary, I am shocked. BUT, I also hear that he had proposed in a quite awkward manner! He said something about how his affection goes against his better judgement. Ha! Only a fool would confess in such a way. Naturally, Lizzy rejected him. Quite harshly, too, if I am to believe Charlotte. This is wonderful! However, Lizzy's behavior has been strange after the encounter. It is probably her pounding regret over rejecting a man like me. As for the important topics, all of which are directly related to me, I looked AMAZING this evening. Of course, this is no different than any other evening, but I do like to take pride in myself every now and again. After all, a man as humble as I am does need his daily dose of personal admiration!

Things Just May Be Getting Out Of Hand...

Captain's Log, Stardate.... oh forget all that. Hello world, and hello Bennet girls! That Darcy seems to be getting quite... odd around Elizabeth. Has he developed feelings for the charming, beautiful, young woman?! I know she is quite wonderful, but must every man around fall for her? I mean, there's that Fitzwilliam man who keeps visiting and spending SO much time talking with her, and now his cousin Darcy is being very very peculiar. I sincerely hope that this is just my imagination playing tricks on me. And despite all of my worrying, there is still the fact that Lizzy had turned me down (an action I am sure she is regretting). If she could reject a man as fabulous as I, then there is no chance for those other two gentlemen. I also noticed that after a conversation with Fitzwilliam, Lizzy seemed upset and unable to have tea with me and Charlotte. Perhaps I do not have much to fret about after all.

A New Challenger Has Arrived!

Dear Diary,

Today, that Darcy fellow showed up. He seems to have brought somebody else with him. From the sound of things, it appears to be his cousin, "Colonel" Fitzwilliam. Personally, I don't think much of his title. He may be a colonel, but is he as handsome and magnificent as I? No! Not in the slightest! However, I worry that he may have an eye on a certain cousin of mine. At dinner, he displayed a rather large amount of false charm to the girl. I know my Lizzy is smarter than that, though. She will simply see through his ruse. After all, doesn't that bloke know she is mine?! Or, well, technically she did not accept my proposal, but I am sure she wasn't thinking clearly then. I'm sorry, am I getting side-tracked? The point is, I am not too fond of Mr. Fitzwilliam.

Love,
The Most Interesting and Jaw-Droppingly Gorgeous Man in the World.

Let's Get This Started!

At last, I have figured out how to work this blasted internet machine! Now, I have the ability to connect with all of my loved ones (I'm talking about you, Bennet girls) with great ease! Anyway, on to the important matters. Lizzy is at Hunsford right now, and I filled with glee. I know how much my family loves me. I can just tell that my dear cousin is so happy to be around me. I will make sure to walk to Rosings quite often now. My wife Charlotte seems to be just as friendly as ever with her, too. No doubt they spend the days talking about how fantastic I am... I can't really blame them. Also, I have heard that Darcy is expected to arrive. This could be interesting...
